AFTER SILENCE

After years of conflict, sacrifice, and resistance, the impossible finally happens: the GCC falls. Surveillance networks fail, checkpoints are abandoned, propaganda screens go dark, and for the first time in generations the city experiences something unfamiliar, silence. Citizens emerge into the streets searching for answers, freedom, and a future no longer dictated by the System. Across the sectors, celebrations, uncertainty, and fear coexist as people struggle to adapt to a world without control. Yet as the dust settles, reports begin to surface of a new presence approaching the city. It identifies itself only as 1. No government records contain reference to it. No movement archives explain its origin. While many believe the war is finally over, NΞD becomes increasingly convinced that something far larger is about to begin.

This archive entry marks the beginning of the After Silence period and will be expanded as additional records become available. Future additions may include eyewitness accounts of the GCC collapse, sector liberation reports, public broadcasts, movement communications, first-contact events, and direct references to the arrival of 1. Historians generally regard this period as one of the most important transitions in NΞDVERSE history. The fall of the GCC closes one chapter, but the appearance of 1 opens another. Despite extensive investigation, little is known about the entity's purpose, intentions, or connection to the events that preceded its arrival. The only certainty is that the future of the city will be shaped by whatever comes next.
